Prelude

I've had some trouble figuring out the direction to take my blog.  Technically I've been working on this blog since last Spring, but as you can see only a few posts remain.  After random spurts of frustration with myself and deciding where to take this lovely little blog, I think I have settled on a direction(of course this new direction will include a few random tid bits that comprise my sometimes interesting life.)

Goals for ...Not Forgotten:
-Focus, but not solely, on photography
-Test my creativity and aspire for originality
-...Well, that's as far as I can think for now and I promise to never write, "aspire for originality" again.  Got caught up in the moment and I promise the moment has passed.
-Oh, and stop using the word lieu as a synonym for in light of.  Fully aware of its meaning now.  Thanks, Sister.

Get? Got it? Good.

You like this any which way sign provided by Vineyard Vines(Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts)?  Take it.  Chew it.  Enjoy.

Weekend Update

This weekend was fun.  This weekend was fun because I got to see some of my wonderful college friends. This weekend was also fun because I thought it'd be cool to pretend being a paparazzi.  This weekend was fun...alright, I'm done.  But seriously, if I lived in a near radius of anyone remotely famous they would have to run from me and my camera, a.k.a my new BFF(sorry Jill).  Here's a few pretty great pics from this beautiful weekend with my beautiful friends.

First we smiled.  Unusual for this crew...
Ahh, that's better.  Better luck next time, Sarah.
All in all a great weekend for me, my subjects, and my camera.

On Island Time

I was lucky enough to go to Martha's Vineyard for 4th of July weekend!  The Vineyard happens to be one of my favorite places in the world and my boyfriend's family, as well as my own happens to vacation there each summer, so lucky me.  In lieu of getting my fancy camera for my birthday, I basically think a picture of trash is "cool" as long as the background is out of focus.  Here's a few of my fav's from the weekend, don't worry I saved the trash for Facebook, lucky friends of mine!

Birthdayzilla: Part 2

As I said previously, I have yet another fun addition to my birthday week!  My family and I went to this absolutely delicious restaurant in Simsbury, Connecticut on Wednesday, The Mill at 2t.  Our plates looked like a piece of art and tasted even better than they looked.  This is in my top 10 favorite restaurants for sure.

Amazing!

Birthdayzilla

I've always been a fan of birthdays, but when it comes to mine I like to think of it more as a week long celebreation rather than that one lonely day we are all granted once a year.  One day just doesn't seem to be enough.  Now this is something my family and friends thought I'd grow out of, but this year's celebration extravaganza(a's) proved otherwise.
This past Friday, the big 22(while not quite as big as last year's, but still obviously just as important, especially based on this year's many days of celebrating), was kicked off with a fun weekend with some of my dearest friends from college.  We met at my family's condo in The Berkshires where we indulged in cheap wine(yum), guac(double yum), and a bar named Zip's(nuff said).
On Saturday a few more of my wonderful friends came to The Berkshires where we yet again indulged ourselves, this time with a little more class, a bottle of skinny girl and gourmet pizza.
Monday proved to be a great addition to my birthday weekend!  I not only got to experiment with my new camera, but swim in a fun lake too!
Finally(although not finally just yet!) I went to a fun dinner with my friends from home on Tuesday(the "official birthday").  At one point in the night my friends went around the table recapping their funniest Sarah memory.  Ranked high among the list was the year that I gave them all a printed out birthday list, my subtleties are astounding I know.
More to come from the birthday celebration week because 4 days clearly just isn't enough!
